The work

How we approached it

The brief was a villa that reads as one piece of craft: every floor, step and opening in natural stone, with the joins as considered as the surfaces.

We cut and assembled inlaid medallions for the central halls, laid the main floors in large polished slabs, and built the staircases with solid treads and dark contrast nosings that follow each curve.

Around the indoor pool and through the arched passages, the same palette carries on so the house holds together from room to room.
